Postals

The Under 25” Vintage Cabin Postal Competition will be run during 2024 in three rounds, slightly later in the year to make it easier for some members to enter: Round 1 runs from 1st May to 30th June, Round 2 runs from 1st July to 31st August, and the final round 3 runs from 1st September to 31st October inclusive.

The p30/Coupe will also be run again in 2024

The competition will consist of one round which will be run between 1st September to 31st October inclusive. The round will consist of several flights to an increasing maximum time as follows:

The maximum for the first flight of each entry will be 90 seconds. If this is achieved, the entrant is permitted a second flight of maximum 120 seconds, and so on, the maximum increasing in increments of 30 seconds until either a max is not achieved, or flying cannot continue (e.g. because the model is lost or damaged and can’t be repaired in time). The score for the entry is the total flight time including the sub-max final flight.

Please go to the Postal Competitions page for more information

Flying at Port Meadow

This is arranged on an informal basis using a WhatsApp group and allows members to meet socially and also allows less experienced members to meet with others that can provide supervision and instruction.

2023 Club Build – VMC Pilot 20″ for Free Flight Rubber

A great introduction to free flight and rubber powered. The Pilot is a small, relatively simple, rubber-powered free-flight model. Well within the abilities of first-time builders, we think it will be a good introduction to the sort of basic techniques that will hopefully encourage further engagement with our great hobby.

For our more experienced members, we hope you will buy kits too, and share your skills and knowledge.  Everyone is welcome to join in.
